Mayflower Roll Call

Last month I discovered the names of another set of great grandparents, and another Mayflower line, on the Crosby side.  With a little research it became apparent that this was more than a single Mayflower line; five *new* lines pass through the new set of grandparents.

Before last month, the three Mayflower lines that I knew of led to: Peter Brown, James Chilton and William Brewster.

In February 2013, I learned the maiden name of Hannah Clements [1730-1809] (my 5th-great grandmother).  The discovery that Hannah Clements was born Hannah Eaton led to the names of her parents: Barnabas Eaton and Mehitable Alden.  I recognized Alden as a Mayflower name and soon learned Eaton was also a Mayflower name.

Barnabas Eaton’s line also connected to the Billington and Fuller Mayflower names and Mehitable Alden’s line connected to Priscilla Mullins, who was also a Mayflower passenger. This meant that Hannah (Clements) Eaton was descended from ten (10) Mayflower passengers!

To date, these are the Mayflower passengers from which I am a descendant:

  1. John Alden
  2. John Billington
  3. Ellinor Billington
  4. Francis Billington
  5. William Brewster
  6. Mary Brewster
  7. Peter Brown
  8. James Chilton
  9. Mrs. James Chilton
  10. Mary Chilton
  11. Francis Eaton
  12. Sarah Eaton
  13. Samuel Eaton
  14. Samuel Fuller
  15. William Mullins
  16. Priscilla Mullins
  17. Richard Warren

(Blue names are the newly discovered Mayflower ancestors of Hannah Eaton.)

(Red name(s) are recently discovered and added when the post was edited.)

  1. Hello Cousin,
I am proud of your magnanimous endeavors invovling our family tree. I also subscribed to your blog. I have submitted my email. And I am no saint. But not a stranger either. Sorry to hear about Aunt Gen. And uncle Harry they will be missed. My heart goes out too you all.

  2. I am so amazed at your many connections to the Mayflower. I have Hannah Clements, listed as stepchild, in my tree (1771-1833) married to Jonathan Baker. Your Hannah Clements
is young for my family tree, . Knowing her maternal line would open so many links. Would you direct me, please, to your connection to Barnabas Eaton and Mehitable Alden. Where would I find that Hannah is Hannah Eaton.

    1. I do not have “Price” as a name for Sarah (Ross) Hoar.

I put William Jr’s death as Before June 1720, because on 21 Jun 1720 Sara Ross Hoar married James Taylor in Beverly, MA

William Jr. and Sarah had a daughter named Sarah (Feb 1795/96). I have no further information about her.

Is there a link to the document you mentioned? I would like to take a look at what is there also.
