This photo, of the Crosbys, was developed in 1948 and was probably taken at about that time. The back of the photo reads:
Children all born in Trenton, NJ USA
There is no indication who the photo was destined for, or why it would still be in the “local” family. Most likely it was intended to be sent to the Crosby family in Nova Scotia, Canada.
This photo helps explain the special relationships that my father and his younger siblings had with my Aunt Genevieve (Crosby) Ousbin and her children.
The tall lad in the back row is unidentified.
